The fishing Clubs of Guadeloupe re-group to move ahead with another edition of the Fishing Festival.
Five years ago the Guadeloupe Fishing Club and Atmosphere inaugurated the first International fishing Tournament in Guadeloupe This year for the 6th. edition, three sport fishing clubs band together to present the Land Rover Fishing Festival 2011, organized by Roger De Lacaze and his team. This year again we expect boats from all over the Caribbean. The teams from St. Martin, Antigua, St. Barthelemy, St. Lucia as well as teams from Martinique and Guadeloupe will give this tournament its international renown as one of the prime tournaments in the Caribbean. Based on strong local traditions the Land Rover Fishing Festival has been since its first edition synonymous with fair-play and good humored fun. The only question this year again is whether the the record from 2008 will be beaten : will the teams and challengers that take to the sea this year succeed ? Whatever happens, we will welcome the public interested by this grand event. You will discover the the Land Rover Fishing Festival Village at the Bas du Fort Marina and you can participate in this formidable competition and on the Day Off on l'Ilet du Gosier on the 7th. of May.
